Home Cooking in Orchha

In this tour, we visit a local home in Orchha for an interactive cooking session and lunch/dinner. First we will visit a local vegetable market to purchase ingredients. The cooking session will be led by the lady of the house. Typically the menu includes vegetables, dal, roti, and rice, but there is no “standard menu” as it varies based on the season and what’s available in the market.

While this is not a cooking class conducted by professionals, you’ll find yourself learning a lot about the regional cuisine because of the interactive and informal nature of the session. This tour also provides a chance to visit a local home and see what daily life is like.

Cooking takes between 60 - 90 minutes, after which you will eat together. If you do not wish to participate in the cooking and prefer to only watch and photograph (or just talk and eat!), that is fine as well.

Excludes: Transport to and from the hotel and tips

Notes:
You can also do an evening cooking session and dinner, but the local markets will be closed at that time.
